Raising Empaths: A Talk for Parents and Educators

Empaths are exceptional human beings. They tend to be highly intuitive and emotionally intelligent. These are our world-changers and peacemakers who have the potential to bring much healing wherever they are.

From the youngest age, empaths absorb even the unspoken emotions of those around them. They think deeply about all aspects of life, of nature, humanity and the universe.  As children, they are often referred to as “old souls”. 

The sad reality, however, is that empaths tend to journey through life without being understood and often without even fully understanding themselves. They feel alone and different and are easily labelled as being ‘overly sensitive’ or ‘overly emotional’. As a result, the empath is prone to significant anxiety and depression.
